Our lovely 13th century church is in good condition and has some artefacts of great historical interest. It has seating for 150 and the small pipe organ still makes a lovely sound. We have a modern annexe with a kitchen, toilet and meeting room. Coffee is usually served after services. We also benefit from a very effective oil fired heating system, so the Church is warm and welcoming for winter services.
We usually have 3 services a month, including the very popular Cafe@Church where bacon butties and other delicious fare are on offer as well as Sunday newspapers: an informal service for all ages is included.
The churchyard immediately surrounding the Church is closed and is maintained by the Parish Council. There is a newer grave yard adjacent to the Church, where members of our community are laid to rest.
Longworth has thriving village pub, the Blue Boar, a primary school and a well appointed village hall. All are within easy walking distance of each other. The village community has an active social programme including a film club, safari suppers, fitness classes and so on.
Our village is served by the 63 bus to Oxford and a more regular service runs from Southmoor – 15 minutes walk away. There is also the Buckland Community Bus service which provides twice-weekly trips to Faringdon.

Parking
Parking is available at or near the church gates.
Getting In
There is a long tarmac path up to the church. Part way up the path splits – the main doors on the south side have steps, but a ramp is available. The level access is round to the north side (follow the path right) and is clearly signposted. This accessible door is open for all services, but not on a day to day basis. The church is open every day from around 9am until dusk in winter, or 5pm in summer. The main door is down three steps.

We are in the process of reprinting large print versions of our new general order of service and these should be available soon. Special services may not have large print copies available.
Toilets
There is an accessible toilet in the Houlton Room on the north side of the church.
Seating
Seating is in pews but chairs are available in the chancel. Wheelchair spaces are arranged as needed to ensure a good view of the service.
Holy Communion
Communion can be brought to you in your seat if you wish. Please inform the sidespersons when you arrive. Please note that the Chancel and Sanctuary are up steps and there are no ramps inside the church as yet. There are handrails to provide help up steps.
